The week of May 15th was the very first week that I
began sending the Kiwanis News Bulletin to the members of our
club through the new Kiwanis Club Management Software. I have
found, through word of mouth, that a lot of you have not been
receiving the bulletin since that week. To keep this from
happening again, I will send the bulletin out twice each week;
the first transmission of the bulletin will be the way I use to
send it and the second transmission will be with the new
program. Hopefully, the bugs will be worked out soon and there
will only be one Bulletin sent out each week. Thank you very
much for your understanding and your patience!!
The week of June 5th, our greeters were Tony Colaizzi
and Mike Stahl. The smiles were great and the handshakes were
warm. President Kristin opened our meeting by welcoming all and
asked Terry Wakefield to lead us as we sang “This Is My
Country”. Orville Petersen delivered a wonderful invocation.
We thank you all for your contribution to our meeting.
Team Captains exited the dining room to count all of the money
that they had collected this week for Pancake Day Ticket sales.
President Kristin announced that our meeting on
June 19th will be held in
Lincoln Park at 5:30pm!!! This evening meeting will take
the place of our lunch meeting that is usually held at Two
Rivers Convention Center. We are encouraged to bring family
members as this will be a more social event instead of a
business meeting. Omar Campos will be catering so you know the
food will be great. Please pass this information on to fellow
Kiwanians so that the word gets out.
Rick Nisley talked again about the 2008 Kiwanis Picnic that will
take place Friday, June 13th at 5:30pm in Hawthorne
Park at 4th and Gunnison. This will also be catered
by Omar and will feature Rick’s fine homebrew “Holly’s Brew” (a
tribute to all graduates) and his amber ale “No Jokes for Old
Men”.

in itself. Thank you very much, Larry.
