Our thanks go to the lovely Rita Crumpton and Barbara Lovett as
they greeted all of us to this week’s meeting. President
Kristin opened our meeting by welcoming all and as Jeannie
Thomas played the piano we sang “America the Beautiful”. Do any
of you wonder why Rich Emerson didn’t lead us in song? Henry
Langstaff delivered our invocation and I thank you all for your
contribution to our meeting. We recited the Pledge of
Allegiance and then our Defining Statement. We really do that
well, you know.
Our guests this week were Jill Breman accompanied by Joe Breman,
Alan Watkins was with his daughter, Amy Hand introduced a new
attorney from their office, Tony Colaizzi brought Rich Englehart,
Heather Smith brought her husband, Terry and Amy Dyer had a
surprise visit from her daughter and grandchildren.
Chris Gumone and Mike Pentaky celebrated their birthdays this
week. Both of these gentlemen were in attendance this week at
club and we had the pleasure of singing Happy Birthday to them.
Happy Bucks
J
were paid this week by Vern Gray, Greg Schafer, Don Teets, Mike
Moran, Sandy Barger, Rick Nisley and Jeannie Moore.
Fines were paid by Rick Nisley because of the red hat that he
was wearing. Jeff Freeland had a spoon in his shirt that Sally
Ryan placed and she was fined because of her action. Tony
Colaizzi and Rick Tuma were fined because they have been mean to
Rita Crumpton because she wasn’t doing fines. Shaunalee Wall
was fined for being late and I wonder where Steve Thompson was
this week?!

told us that this project was 16 months ahead of schedule and
should be complete in June 2008. There were a few questions
asked by members of our club and then Tim wrapped up.
Brad Krebill reported on the City Street Clean-Up project that
took place last Saturday. A lot of clean up happened and a lot
of fun was had by all. Dennis Durmas was there will a garbage
truck from Monument Refuse and there were a few ladies (Kristin
Winn, Carla Durmas, Vikki Bell and Roxie Denning) that hitched a
ride on the back of the truck. Thank you to all who helped with
the clean-up!

Friday, November 9th at the Blue Moon. This get
together will happen the second Friday of each month; be sure
and mark your calendars and read the bulletin as I will announce
the location.

the Thought for the Day.
