There is something in the air! Oh, it is pancake day. The corporate sales are all gone. The individual sales are coming along. According to Roxie Denning the total individual sales are at $10,712. That is well under our goal for the year of $20,000. Get out there this week and Sell! Sell! Sell!.

The Key Club from Central High was here collecting money for the cake walk. The Silent Auction has some 80 items. According to Amy Dyer if you have things to drop off for the Auction take it to Toni Heiden’s office at 735 Rood Avenue by Tuesday. There is still some need for table service especially between 6-8AM. Help if you can. The set up for the Pancake days will start right after club meeting next Thursday.

Rick Nisley announced the picnic will be at Hawthorne Park on the 17th at 6PM. Some 90 have signed up to come and enjoy this time of relaxation after the work is done on Pancake Day. Plan to come if you can. Rick says there will be food and home made beer as well as store bought beer.

The winners of the prizes for selling tickets this week were Rita Crumpton who won the gift from Grand Junction Athletic Club; Les Goodding who got the oil change from Katz Automotive; Sally Ryan who received the wine from Red Wine Vintage Cellars and Randy Rexwinkle who was given the certificate from Johnson’s House of Flowers.

The Membership Drive is progressing. Mike McDill announced it is going well. Four new members were inducted this week and 2 others were approved for membership. Those inducted were Betsy Madden who was sponsored by Bob Colony; Barbara Hensley who Roxie Denning brought to club, Christi Adams introduced to the club by Jeff Freeland and Vic Pauley who Sandy Barger sponsored.

Welcome to all. In fact Christi will be bringing our program next week. She will talk about exports from the valley. Come and see what that is about.

President Mike Moran called the meeting to order without the benefit of the bell. What happened, Mike? The song of the day was This Land Is Your Land. The greeters were Orville Boge and Dennis Durmas. Ken Willard told the joke of the day and Kevin Price brought the thought for the day. Don Teets brought the prayer.

Guests today besides the Central High Key Club members were Taylor Miller, the grandson of Paul Miller; Betsy Madden introduced by Bob Colony; Davie Jacobson brought by Katie Ames; Barbara Hensley who came with Roxie Denning; Christi Adams who was Jeff Freeland’s guest; Bill Byers had his son and daughter with him, their names are Bryce and Lindsey; Sandy Barger brought Vic Pauley; Also Darrell Henshaw, a life time member of the St George, Utah club, was also with us. He said he plans to move his membership.

Fine master Steve Thompson called on Mike Moran for not having the bell to open the meeting. Those fined included Rita Crumpton, Mike McDill, Lowell Shormann, and Rich Emerson.
