There are
lots of things happening at Kiwanis. Today was kick-off for
sale of tickets. Just think, only 6 weeks left to get those
tickets sold. Each member is expected to sell at least 20
tickets. To make our major fund raising project a great
success get our there and sell, sell, sell.
The corporate sales push was a great success. The goal was
to sell at least $25,000 worth of sponsorships. Bob Colony and
LeAnn Zetmier announced the goal was met and exceeded because
the sales stand at $27,250. There are more that may come in.
Those who sold at least $500 worth of corporate sponsorships
celebrated with a meal Wednesday night. I am told everyone who
attended had lots of fun.
This week Bob Colony conducted the meeting. Bob was
president of the original Bookcliff club in 1961. He is also
past Lt Governor and past Governor of the Rocky Mountain
District. Jeff Cyriaks and Tom Sheldon were the greeters. Jeff
Cyriaks lead the prayer. Heidi Pankow brought the thought for
the day and told the joke(?). The songs of the day, lead by
Terry Wakefield, were MOTHER and If I Knew You Were Coming I’d
A Baked A Cake.
Among the guests today were four members of the Central
High Key Club who introduced by Heidi Pankow. Also Steve Katz
had Mike Kelly as his guest. Mike has completed the
orientation and will be inducted next week. Matt Guccini had
Ashley Henson with him. Terry Wakefield was accompanied by his
wife, Donna. Bruce Hill had his daughter, Avery, as his guest.
Bob Colony brought Andy Rhodes with him. Ben Watkins
introduced Andy Duncan. Brook Blaney brought Bob Prey(sp) as
his guest. Jeff Freeland introduced Christi Adams and
Gabriel(?). Roxie Denning had Terri Jones with her and Sandy
Barger had Pam(?) with her. Marilee Wood had Kathy Staton as
her guest and Katie Ames brought David Jacobson as her guest.
I apologize if I missed anyone or did not get their names
correct. It is sometimes hard to see who brought who and to
hear what is said.
Thea Chase, Mark Relph and Bill Byers are celebrating
birthdays this week. Orville Peterson was celebrating his
Kiwanis Anniversary.
Those with happy Bucks included Steve Thompson, Lowell
Shormann, Tom Sheldon, Rick Nisley, Sharon Baxter, Pete

Lincoln Park and help if you can. Any questions, call Mailyn.
Steve Thompson handed out fines or Kudos to several. He
fined Bob Colony, LeAnn Zetmier, Jeff Cyriaks, Heidi Pankow
and Pete Jouflas as well as congratulated Bruce Hill for being
elected Mayor again. He also fined four members for not having
their badges on and Ron Sherman for giving a bogus dollar
bill.
The pancake Committee chairs and vice-chairs are reminded
