As JUCO
starts May 28 and the banquet is May 27 it was appropriate
that this was the day we honored the JUCO team our club was
sponsoring this year. Some 30 people from the Hutchinson,
Kansas Blue Dragons who are here for the tournament were with
us today. On Saturday afternoon we will have a picnic for them
at Sherwood Park. Brad Krebill reminded us to come if we can.
It is to be at 5PM. The team plays their first game at noon on
Saturday.
The program introduced by Bruce Hill, was Jamie Hamilton
talking about the JUCO tournament and about the improvements
to the ball field.. He said some $400,000 has been spent in
the last year on improvements to the scoreboard, the seats,
the sound system and others. He also said the speaker at the
tournament banquet is Goose Gossage.
The election for the board of directors was held. Four
people were elected to 2 year terms. They were Dennis Durmas,
Heidi Pankow, Tom Sheldon and Kristin Winn. Others that were
nominated included Sandy Barger, Ken Willard, Paul Miller and
Chris Gumone. It is good to see all the people who are willing
to serve. We have a very active club. Even if you are not
elected you are still needed on committees and serving at
pancake day, Oktoberfest, Safety Walk, etc.

the day was Take Me Out To The Ball Game. President Mike Moran
was in charge of the meeting. Heidi Waggoner lead the prayer.

for the cake walk at pancake day. Other guests were introduced
as follows: Henry Langstaff had Wayne Wright with him. Kevin
Price had his daughter, Madeline, as his guest. Rich Emerson
introduced Chris Jones, who was a former member. Rita Crumpton

Adams with him. Wally Bissinger from the Golden K Club was

Jeff Gumone.

amount to $6250 with a goal of $20,000. Roxie Denning gave
rewards from the drawing of those who sold tickets this week
to Henry Langstaff, Don Teets, Sandy Barger and Rick Tuma.

trip to Juneau, Alaska. He brought a bottle of beer and a
glass to drink if from.

at Lake Powell and a Honda ATV. Call her if you have things to
