It looks like lots of people have gotten back from their vacation as there was a good crowd today. The blood drive was in full progress and several Kiwanians donated blood. Thanks to all who could participate in the blood drive. Two young boy scouts were there directing people to the blood-mobile.

Greeters today were Jamie Lummis and Bob Hanson. Jamie also brought the joke of the day and Bob the thought for the day. Thanks for your help.

President Rick Nisley, decked out in his red jacket, conducted the meeting. Henry Langstaff brought the prayer and the song of the day was This Land Is Your Land. The mystery greeter was Rick Nisley. He said the last one to shake his hand was Orville Boge.

Guests today included Roger McClellan introduced by Allison Moore, The two boy scouts, Byron Glass and Adam Sheets, Toni Heiden- Moran introduced by her husband Mike Moran and their grandson Anthony Heiden. Steve Katz had the group from his Auto Service shop who helped make the Lube project a big success. Steve introduced his wife Sherry and employees JR, Bob and Dennis along with another whose name I did not get. He also had Dave Sykes as his guest. Dave was inducted into the club today. Welcome, Dave.

Joe Breman had his fiancee Jo Serrano with him today. They are planning a September wedding. Jo is in charge of the blood drive.

Jeff Gumone said his guest was Ron Sherman even though Ron has transferred back into the club some time ago he said he still does not have a name badge so he feels he is a guest.

Heidi Waggoner contributed a happy buck because she will be having her baby next week. Jeff Gumone also had a happy buck as did Gordon Harbert. Gordon said he was happy his bandage for contributing to the blood drive was purple rather than red like Rick Nisley got. Roger McClellan, a guest, gave a buck to promote the barbershop music clinic. Bill Byers is happy because he will soon be an empty nester. Lynne Sorlye was happy because Steve Katz decided to join our club.

Steve Katz said he some 70 people get oil changes last Saturday. He said some people not only paid the bill but gave extra for the Kiwanis Club. He presented a check to Kiwanis for $1069.46.

The program was Robert Traylor. He talked about the Urban Trails. He said he is looking for input to improve the the trails.

Birthdays were celebrated this week by Daryl Pridy, Brynn Fisher, Ken Maher David Sykes and Orville Boge. Happy Birthday to all.

Mike Moran is celebrating his anniversary this week.

As mentioned earlier David Sykes was inducted today. David was sponsored by Steve Katz. Don’t forget Bruce Hill will be holding an orientation soon. New members and their sponsors are asked to attend. Watch for the announcement of when that will be.

LeAnn Zetmier returned from a trip to Oregon and brought a box of cookies and some aged cheese for the big cheese, President Rick.

Terry Wakefield said the allocation group is to meet this evening and if needed next Tuesday. If you are on that committee plan to attend and help out.

Steve Thompson said he is looking for some help and input for the remodel of the Camp Kiwanis kitchen. If you know of those who will donate or sell at low cost either materials or services contact him.

The Beef purchase is this week and we need a freezer to put it in.
