I was not here last week so thanks to Lynne Sorlye
for giving me her notes. If I miss something that happened I can always
say well, I just did not pick up on that.
President Lois Becker called the meeting together. Bob Colony brought
the prayer and the song was lead by our president.
Rick Nisley brought the thought for the day.
Steve Stranger said the billing would be late this
time. Be sure to look for that all important bill!!!
Guests include the following. Rita Crumpton
brought Sue Conry, Stan Hilkey, and Jackie Stafford. Randy Kirshbaum
brought Victoria Rule with him. Marilee Woods brought Dan Whalen with
her. Mike Moran had Nancy Fickner with him and Bruce Isaacson introduced
John McKeen. John is selling JUCO tickets.
The Camp Committee brought a camp report on the
workdays. He said one week-end of work was completed and next week-end,
May 18 there is another.
Katie Steele brought the oversight committee
report. She said there was $4,093 in the balance. She also reported on
the contracts and deposits left.
Rick Nisley talked about the shirt sales and said
there was sign-up sheets on the table.
Kristin Winn, who is in charge of the silent
auction, said things are progressing for the sale. If you have anything
to add to the sale contact Kristin.
Mark Relph talked of the prizes for Pancake Ticket
sales.
Pam Nicholls is working on the District Convention
which is coming up in August. Be sure to plan to have some time to help
in the convention. As I am sure everyone knows the District Convention
is to be held here in Grand Junction this year.
Marilee Wood is working on the Community Resource
Guide. I am sure she would like you to help out.
The program today was John Mok-Lamme talking about
the Grand Junction Homeless Shelter. The parent group is Homeward Bound
of the Grand Valley. He explained how the shelter operates and who it
helps. He also answered questions.
There was no other business and the meeting was
adjourned.
